Grupo Guayacán, in collaboration with the Amgen Foundation, completed the first edition of its “STEM and Entrepreneurship” initiative aimed at high school students during an activity on Tuesday, crowing three teams of high schools students who participated.
Grupo Guayacán, a nonprofit with more than 10 years of experience in entrepreneurial development programs, on Tuesday gathered more than 500 students to encourage careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and entrepreneurship as part of the kickoff of a new educational initiative aimed at high school students.
A delegation comprising 27 teams of elementary, middle and high school students will be traveling to Anaheim, CA next month to represent Puerto Rico in the VEX Robotics World Championship 2014, the Puerto Rico Institute of Robotics announced.
