A year after making its local debut in Carolina, Famous Dave’s is opening its second BBQ restaurant in Bayamón today — a $2 million, 6,000 square-foot operation that will generate 275 jobs.
The authentic taste of down-home barbeque ribs and fixings will arrive to Puerto Rico in less than a week, when the first Famous Dave’s restaurant will officially open for business in Plaza Escorial in Carolina.
The Puerto Rico Convention Center grounds in Miramar will set the stage for a giant gathering of barbecues and grills during the 6th Annual Cattlemen’s Caribbean BBQ Competition & Outdoor Festival, to be held July 13-14.
The Famous Dave’s BBQ concept, which features a menu of barbequed and grilled meats, a large selection of salads, side items and sandwiches, as well as desserts, will open its first location in Puerto Rico at the Escorial Shopping Center in Carolina, franchise holder Jorge Colón-Gerena confirmed Monday.
