Even before 2012 started it was already shaping up to be a year of “many challenges” for the island’s economy, Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce President Salvador Calaf said.
Oscar Arias-Sánchez, two-term president of Costa Rica and winner of the Nobel Peace Prize, will be addressing the local business community during this Friday’s quarterly luncheon of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce.
The Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce will sponsor next month the “Puerto Rico Telecom Conference 2011: The New Future,” through which it seeks to give participants a chance to exchange ideas on telecommunications technologies, achieving greater Internet access, and how going online can help companies to grow, reach new markets, and innovate.
