Prepa Networks, a subsidiary of the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority that provides next-generation network infrastructure to carriers and business sectors looking to provide a variety of telecommunications services, will be building new $26 million headquarters in Isla Verde, the company disclosed Wednesday.
Through an $8 million investment, VAPR Federal Credit Union recently broke ground on its new 70,000 square-foot headquarters located on Rd. 177 in San Juan. The new facilities, which will house the company’s administrative offices and a covered parking area, should be finished by late 2013.
Pharmaceutical company Merck, which has had presence on the island for more than six decades, will be investing $2.5 million in new business offices in Puerto Rico that will also serve as its commercial headquarters for the Caribbean region, company officials announced.
