U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced Wednesday the “Small-Scale Donation Proposal Process,” a more streamlined and simplified avenue for stakeholders interested in investing in and expediting small-scale, high impact border infrastructure, technology and other related improvements.
The Highways Authority will invest $254.6 million in federal funding on 53 road infrastructure projects that should be awarded in June 2016, agency Executive Director Carmen Villar announced Thursday during a meeting of the Associated General Contractors, Puerto Rico Chapter.
Telecommunications provider Claro de Puerto Rico will wrap up 2014 with a total of $100 million in capital investments in its fiber optic network, mobile infrastructure and application development — among other improvements — to be able to offer customers “the best cutting-edge technology” available, company President Enrique Ortiz de Montellano said Tuesday.
