Executives from the LongHorn Steakhouse chain announced Wednesday plans to open its seventh restaurant in Puerto Rico, at the Hyatt Place Manatí & Casino Atlántico, currently in its final stage of construction.
As part of the $3.5 million remodeling of the Plaza del Caribe shopping center’s food court, mall operators recently confirmed the addition of the first Longhorn Steakhouse restaurant to open in Puerto Rico’s southern region, and the sixth on the island. The eatery will occupy 6,580 square feet of the food court and is expected to open in April.
Local franchisee Restaurant Operators Inc. announced Monday it has entered into an agreement with Darden Restaurants Inc. to develop and operate eight Olive Garden restaurants and a minimum of three additional LongHorn restaurants in Puerto Rico over the next seven years.
