The Puerto Rico Ports Authority on Wednesday announced the opening of a request for proposals for leasing, development, financing, construction and operation of a marina for mega yachts and transform the dry dock of San Juan into a leading center for repair and maintenance of vessels.
The Puerto Rico Treasury Department has pushed back the start of collections of Sales and Use Tax (known as IVU in Spanish) for merchandise coming through the island’s ports by a month, to Aug. 1, agency officials said Monday.
Puerto Rico Ports Authority Executive Director Víctor Suárez announced Wednesday that the regional airports in Aguadilla, Ponce, Ceiba, Vieques and Culebra are now offering free WiFi access as part of the agency’s plan to improve its infrastructure throughout the island.
