The 8th edition of the Saborea Puerto Rico culinary event will feature some of the island’s top chefs, along with several Food Network personalities, who will gather in San Juan April 9-12, Puerto Rico Hotel and Tourism Association President Clarisa Jiménez announced Tuesday.
Saborea Puerto Rico, an annual food festival that gathers the best local and international culinary talent, will receive next week the 2014 Tourism Excellence Award from Excelencias Group of Spain, Clarisa Jimenez, executive director of the Puerto Rico Hotel and Tourism Association said Tuesday.
A student from the Universidad del Este won this year’s fourth edition of the MasterCard Student Food Challenge, held prior to this weekend’s Saborea culinary fest, receiving a $1,000 scholarship for proving his talent in the kitchen, the credit card company announced.
