The University of Puerto Rico has received nearly $1.5 million from the National Science Foundation to launch a five-year project called “Rise Up,” which will bring together three of its campuses to seek solutions to certain problems that came up after Hurricane María.
The alliance sets off the first phase of the program, which will allow interested people to launch their businesses “quickly and effectively,” the agencies stated.
Officials of the Puerto Rico for Public-Private Partnerships Authority are participating this week in two major industry forums.
