The town of Maricao joined 14 other Puerto Rico municipalities offering free Wi-Fi at its public square as well as access to broadband at an Internet center, through a $3 million government-sponsored initiative to close the island’s digital gap.
The Central-Eastern Development Bank, known as BADECO by its acronym in Spanish, became the only entity in Puerto Rico selected to participate in the Small Business Administration’s Loan Brokers Pilot Program, getting a $1 million assignment, organization Executive Director Adrián Muñiz-Mariani said Wednesday.
