Domino’s opens 1st ‘Pizza Theater Store’ in Puerto Rico
Domino’s Pizza is introducing a new store concept to the island, with the opening of Puerto Rico’s first free standing Pizza Theater Store in Canóvanas, where customers will be able to experience their pizza being freshly made and baked in front of them.
The 2,000 square-foot restaurant entailed a $500,000 investment, and is the first of several the pizza maker will establish locally, company officials said Tuesday.
“At Domino’s Pizza we have created a new and wonderful family meal experience. We have listened to our consumers here in Puerto Rico and we are now bringing them the concept that they have been asking, including this new service approach to enhance the dining experience,” said José Román, Brand Manager for Domino’s Pizza.
“Domino’s Pizza Canóvanas is the first of many new locations around the island that will be adapted to this new concept,” he said.
At the Pizza Theater Store, customers will be able to track their pizzas while their being created and baked according to their own creation and specifications. The sit-down eatery features other menu items such as sandwiches, pastas and desserts.
The restaurant also features ample parking and a drive-thru pickup window for those who prefer to order takeout without getting out of the car.
Domino’s Pizza has been delivering pizza in Puerto Rico for more than 27 years and is “very excited to now bring the Pizza Theater experience for those who are looking for value quality and the comfort in their dining experience,” said Master Franchisee Eddie Liberman.
He believes this is a perfect business model to grow the brand throughout the island, anticipating that he will be seeking experienced multi-unit operators to help expand the chain in Puerto Rico.
