The job fair drew hundreds of participants.

The Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico recently held its 19th Job Fair for students and graduates of this school in Hato Rey.

During the event, more than 18 companies — both local and from the U.S. mainland — had the opportunity to accept resumes as well as interview and meet prospects in specialized areas such as engineering, surveying, architecture, and management, among others.

“Many companies not only need the specialized talent we have but also offer internships in and outside Puerto Rico that serve as practice for our students who can demonstrate what they have learned in their respective fields,” said Ernesto Vázquez Barquet, Polytechnic University president of the University of Puerto Rico.

More than 800 students and graduates took part in the fair, as well as pre-conference workshops in preparation for job interviews, writing resumes, and more, school officials said.
