Sunrun’s home-battery fleet is being used in coordination with grid operator LUMA to respond to energy shortfalls and reduce blackout risk in Puerto Rico, the company said.
The monthly average of solar installations stands at 4,289, while complaints filed with the Department of Consumer Affairs (DACO, in Spanish) average 44 per month.
The installed solar systems in Culebra have a combined capacity of 283.5 kilowatts and are expected to generate about 480 megawatt-hours annually, saving local businesses an estimated $135,000.
