Banco Popular to tune-up website, mobile app

Popular iPhone appPopular Inc., Banco Popular de Puerto Rico’s parent company, announced Thursday it will be conducting preventive maintenance on its website and mobile applications from 8 p.m. Saturday (July 20) to 7 a.m. Sunday (July 21).

The process will interrupt the use of those systems, so customers will not be able to access the Mi Banco Online or use Popular’s mobile applications during those 11 hours.

“This maintenance process will allow the institution to continue offering excellent service through Mi Banco Online and its mobile applications,” the financial institution said in a brief statement.

Customers needing to check balances or conduct transactions may do so through Popular’s phone-based customer service center.
