Cataño to host Women Who Lead Summit: AI Edition

On March 15, the Cataño Convention Center in Puerto Rico will host the Women Who Lead Summit: AI Edition, focusing on innovation and female leadership. The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop or tablet “for a more interactive experience.”

“This is the first event in Puerto Rico dedicated exclusively to empowering women in the era of artificial intelligence, AI,” said Frances Ríos, founder of Women Who Lead, which develops initiatives and events aimed at empowering women by focusing on professional development, networking and promoting gender equality.

“Studies show that eight out of 10 women are at risk of being replaced by AI or those who master it. Despite the record profits of large corporations, massive layoffs highlight the urgency of adapting to the automation introduced by AI,” Ríos cautioned.

Cataño Mayor Julio Alicea-Vasallo said, “Artificial intelligence is the present and the future, not a trend, and it is not limited to those working in the technology industry. Being the venue for the Women Who Lead Summit is a strategic step toward the economic revival of Puerto Rico and Cataño, positioning our women at the forefront of innovation.”

Women Who Lead said attendees will be educated about AI strategies to advance their careers and create or expand their businesses. Alongside experts Terrance McMahon and Ríos, they will be able to:

  • Integrate AI into their market research processes.
  • Identify professional and business opportunities “in minutes.”
  • Learn and master AI tools to promote their personal brand and businesses.
  • Analyze and create impactful projects or presentations.

There will be several sessions where audience volunteers, with support from McMahon and Ríos, will create strategic career, business or new product plans.
