CUNA Mutual Group completes transition to TruStage in Puerto Rico

The insurer finalized its brand change, emphasizing nearly a century of service to the cooperative sector.

Insurance provider TruStage announced it has completed its transition process from CUNA Mutual Group to TruStage in Puerto Rico, a brand transformation that began last year in the U.S. market, as News is my Business reported.

The changeover was “carefully implemented locally to ensure a reliable, transparent and smooth transition, considering all aspects, both in operations and at the marketing level,” the company said.

“With this new chapter, the TruStage brand is officially presented in the Puerto Rican market backed by almost a century of experience and financial strength at the service of the cooperative sector,” said Rubén Bonilla, director of the Hispanic Caribbean Region for TruStage.

“Our name is the combination of the words ‘trust’ and ‘stage’; it is a name that communicates our commitment to creating relationships based on trust, offering solutions for every stage of life,” Bonilla explained.

Over the last year, the firm, which serves the island’s cooperative sector, focused on completing the unification process — both internally and externally — under a single brand, ensuring effective communication and considering all customer touchpoints.

“We’re pleased to have completed this process without hitches,” said Anelisa Rodríguez, TruStage marketing coordinator in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the Dominican Republic.

“For us, TruStage is more than a new name, it’s about continuing to offer practical advice, intelligent guidance and personalized solutions so our associates can plan, make confident decisions and achieve their financial objectives based on their lifelong goals,” she added.

TruStage has been serving the cooperative sector since 1935. Its financial industry ratings include an “A” from A.M. Best, an “A+” from S&P Global Rating and an “A2” from Moody’s Investor Services.
