Claro offering free IPTV service through Jan. ’15
Telecommunications provider Claro announced Tuesday it will provide its broadband-based ClaroTV paid television service free of charge until January 2015 to customers who sign up to its bundled package this month.
Additionally, customers who take part in the offer will also be vying for mini tablet computers that will be given away among new subscribers, the company said. The 3Play package includes dedicated Internet connectivity, access to hundreds of wi-fi hotspots throughout the island, unlimited calls within Puerto Rico and the U.S. mainland and IPTV service.
Claro launched its paid television service to compete with Puerto Rico’s traditional cable and satellite service providers. Its service offers hundreds of channels, interactive features, as well as DVR and video-on-demand functions.
