Puma Energy Caribe and Automeca Technical College officially partnered Tuesday to promote professional development opportunities for Puerto Rico’s automotive professionals and the industry in general, executives from both companies said.

Automeca Technical College is dedicated to developing quality specialists to meet the challenges of the rapid technological developments in the automotive industry. The institution has four campuses, located in Bayamón, Caguas, Ponce and Aguadilla; and a new extension center in Fajardo.

Some of the activities that Puma Energy Caribe will offer students through the agreement include complimentary teacher trainings, student lectures, sponsorship of the Pro Automeca Educational Scholarship Foundation, as well as support of student-related activities.

“In Puma Energy we are passionate about quality. Contributing to Puerto Rico’s automotive students so they can initiate research projects, become educated and train to continue providing quality service offered to the Puerto Rican community is in line with our values and our commitment to Puerto Rico,” said Víctor Domínguez, general manager of Puma Energy Caribe.

Meanwhile, María de los Ángeles Pagán, president of Automeca Technical College, said “through the different partnerships we keep our curriculums current and are able to better meet market needs.”
