Puerto Rican shoe retailer Novus Inc. announced the opening of its first store in the U.S. mainland, located in the Pembroke Lakes Mall, one of the most visited shopping centers in Broward Country and centrally located between Miami and Palm Beach, Florida.
“Novus is aware of the importance of the South Florida market and the large Puerto Rican population of more than 300,000 currently residing in the area that has a close ties with the brand,” said Sandra Castellón, Grupo Novus marketing director.
“With this expansion into the U.S., we will now be able to offer Novus’s excellence to the communities in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties,” she said, noting the company is unveiling a new prototype store with the U.S. opening.
The store reflects the modernism that characterizes Novus, with its variety of materials and colors such as wood, metal, and the company’s distinctive shades of red.
Novus has made an unspecified — but significant — investment in technology to soon offer a better experience with the “pick up at store” service so that customers can select the merchandise on the website or mobile phone and then pick it up at their favorite store.
Also, premiering in January, will be the mobile payment system where customers can pay for their purchases without having to wait in line at the store, executives said.
