Tourism Co. announces late summer ‘paradores’ deals

Villas del Mar Hau in Isabela is on the list of small inns offering special rates through the end of summer.

Puerto Rico residents looking to get away during the final weeks of summer can choose to stay at any of 17 “paradores” (small inns) offering special rates, Tourism Company Executive Director Luis Rivera Marín said over the weekend.

Through Aug. 30, participating small inns are offering rates of $39.50 to $49.50 per person per night, for a three-day, two-night stay. The rate is based on double occupancy and includes American breakfast.

The hotels on the list are: Villas Sotomayor, Perichis, El Faro, Boquemar, Bahía Salinas, Villas del Mar Hau, Vistamar, Palmas de Lucia, Mauna Caribe, Costa del Mar, Guánica 1929, JB Hidden Village, El Combate Beach, Villa Antonio, Caribbean Paradise, Joyuda Beach and El Buen Café.  The only hotel not participating is Villa Parguera, as it is completely sold-out through August.

“Occupancy at our ‘paradores’ plays a key role in the tourism industry, mainly for internal tourism that is so relevant this time of year,” Rivera-Marín said. “This attractive offer makes it easier for the Puerto Rican family, which is now enjoying their summer vacation, the opportunity to have fun and enjoy the wonders of our natural beauties, cultural events, and great food.”
