Toyota joins National Public Lands Day cleanup in San Juan

Toyota de Puerto Rico participated in National Public Lands Day, a volunteer initiative dedicated to preserving parks and public lands across the United States and its territories.
This year’s local effort brought together 30 volunteers, including Toyota employees, community partners and their families, for preservation activities in Old San Juan.
The group carried out tasks such as cleaning green areas and maintaining trails.
“At Toyota, we firmly believe that our mission goes beyond mobility. Our commitment to the environment and communities is reflected in concrete actions like this, where we join forces to protect and revitalize our public lands,” said Saskia Gómez, public relations executive for Toyota de Puerto Rico.
National Public Lands Day is observed annually in September to raise awareness about natural resources and to encourage citizen participation in conservation activities.
Toyota said its participation is in line with broader sustainability goals, including the Toyota 2050 Environmental Challenge and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
As part of Challenge 6, which focuses on building a society in harmony with nature, the company contributed to cleanup work in the historic corridor of San Juan.
The company said these activities are part of efforts to promote sustainable practices and to involve local communities in conservation work.
