Doral Mortgage launches $1.5M ad campaign

Doral Mortgage, a division of Doral Financial Corporation, launched Wednesday a new $1.5 million multimedia advertising campaign to tout the benefits of its services. The bank chose local comedian Raymond Arrieta as spokesman of the campaign focused on the “knowledge and service make a difference in your mortgage experience” tagline.
“Raymond Arrieta is a much-loved comedian in Puerto Rico who identifies with many causes that are consistent with our promise as a community bank,” said Doral President Glen Wakeman. “His passion and commitment are aligned with the commitment we have in Doral Mortgage to serve our customers.”
Arrieta will integrate several of the characters he has brought to life — Plinia, Trompetilla and Wally — into the campaign marked by its humorous take on something as complicated as a mortgage transaction.
