DBB Latina Puerto Rico chosen for special int’l projects
Due to the high level of creativity demonstrated in worldwide competitions such as the Cannes Lions Festival, DDB Latina Puerto Rico has been chosen together with four of the world’s top agencies to work on special projects for Unilever, en route to Cannes 2015.
After becoming the most-awarded advertiser at Cannes 2014, Unilever designated five agencies located in London, Brazil, California, Singapore, and DDB Latina Puerto Rico to develop ideas for its Lipton and Wall’s brands. The decision was taken in London by Giles Morrison, director for Creative Excellence at Unilever, a worldwide leading company in food, home goods and personal care products.
The Puerto Rican agency received a Silver Lion at this year’s Cannes Lions Festival in the Graphic Design category for the “Jury,” “Loan” and “Ticket” pieces created for Unilever’s Wall’s ice cream brand, after participating in Unilever’s global call for creative work.
This award at Cannes 2014 was the only Silver Lion received by Puerto Rican agencies, who received various Bronze Lions in this edition. Furthermore, this is the only Lion in the Graphic Design category ever awarded to a Puerto Rican agency at this festival, which is considered the most important one in the global advertising industry.
“Being selected together with agencies like adam&eve DDB London, which was 2014 agency of the year at Cannes, fills us with pride and validates the level of talent in the local advertising industry. This designation is a recognition to the two Silver Lions we’ve won for Unilever, this year for Wall’s and last year for Axe,” said Enrique Renta, chief creative officer of DDB Latina Puerto Rico.
