Telecommunications and technology provider Claro Puerto Rico recently struck an agreement with retailer JCPenney to open point-of-sale kiosks at the Plaza las Américas and Carolina stores.

“It is extremely important for our company to be accessible to our customers,” Claro President Enrique Ortiz de Montellano said. “This corporate objective has been reinforced in the past year with the opening of hundreds of new points of sale.”

“That takes on new meaning with our entrance into JCPenney, a great favorite in Puerto Rico,” he said. “We are confident that our new sales areas add value and convenience to Claro and JCPenney’s loyal clientele.”

Among the services that Claro is offering it its JCPenney kiosks are: mobile handset sales; Claro Internet service applications; Claro TV subscriptions; and applications for new phone service through the Claro Fijo division.

The Claro kiosks can be found on the fourth level of the JCPenney Plaza las Américas store and on the first level of the Plaza Carolina location.
