Embassy Suites by Hilton PR marks 20th anniversary
Embassy Suites by Hilton, which raised its flag in Puerto Rico in December 1996, is marking two decades of history on the island with a series of events at its Isla Verde and Dorado properties this year, leading up to a gala benefit next year, hotel officials said.
Embassy Suites opened its Isla Verde location first, followed by Dorado. In December 2014, the Isla Verde property underwent a complete overhaul of its 299 rooms, including its one-and two-bedroom suites and its presidential suite. More recently, the hotel added 11 additional rooms, bumping the inventory to 310 suites.
Meanwhile, the Dorado property — which is marking its 15th anniversary — unveiled a newly renovated face in August 2015, when all of its 174 rooms were redesigned. The property also expansed its events and meeting spaces, adding a new 9,000 square-foot “Grand Hall” — which formerly housed a casino — that accommodates 650 people for banquet events, 1,000 for receptions and up to 72, 10×10 exhibit booths.
As part of the celebration, earlier this month, hotel staff unveiled the official anniversary cocktail and desserts, crafted by local Bartender César Corrada and Chef Melisandra Quiñones, respectively.
