Open Mobile, one of the fastest growing mobile network operators in Puerto Rico, is partnering with Assurant Solutions to offer the island’s first upgrade and protection program without an annual contract and device financing requirement.
Called Open Up!, the program provides customers with a credit every 12 months to use on a device upgrade, as well as a protection plan that covers accidental damage, mechanical breakdown, loss and theft. Customers can make two claims via the protection plan in a consecutive 12-month period.
“With this new program, Open Mobile becomes the only company in the market to offer an upgrade and device protection program without requiring an annual contract or equipment financing,” said Josué J. Gonzalez, vice president of marketing at Open Mobile.
“In addition, we’re offering customers an annual upgrade reimbursement. At the end of every 12-month period all payments made by the customer are credited towards upgrading their equipment,” he said.
