Oriental marks 52nd anniversary with 52-week challenge
Oriental Bank unveiled Thursday its “Oriental 52 Challenge,” a 52-week initiative to mark its anniversary, through which it invites the public to take part in different activities that contribute to their welfare, their family and community.
On a weekly basis, the bank will publish a challenge on its Facebook page (Facebook.com/orientalbank), including activities like learning a new recipe, donating time to a community organization for the first time, and visiting an island town.
“We want to motivate people to live the essence of the brand to challenge the establishment and find different ways of doing things. Motivating people to dare to do things differently always encourages taking a fresh look at things we can change and the impact we can make on ourselves or those around us,” said Idalis Montalvo, Oriental’s vice president of marketing and public relations.
Aside from the Facebook page, Oriental has created a microsite, where participants can submit their email address to obtain notifications about upcoming challenges. People who commit to a challenge can invite others, and are competing for a monthly prize.
“We also want for people to submit challenges us, so we turn this initiative into one that is not only Oriental’s but that belongs to the entire digital community,” said Montalvo.
