PetSmart celebrates opens Hatillo store

PetSmart officials will cut the ribbon at the new Hatillo store, as they did at the San Patricio location last year, this Saturday.
PetSmart, the largest specialty retailer of services and solutions for the lifetime needs of pets, will mark the opening of its sixth location in Puerto Rico, at the Plaza del Norte Mall in Hatillo, with an all-day event Saturday.
The new 12,000 square-foot Plaza del Norte store joins locations in Señorial Plaza (Río Piedras), Plaza Río Hondo (Bayamón), San Patricio Plaza (Guaynabo), Plaza Centro (Caguas) and Plaza Escorial (Carolina). The newest location employs 30 people.
During the grand opening event, customers and their pets will enjoy special offers; free photo buttons; orientation about grooming services; discount coupons; giveaways; sweepstakes; music and other surprises. There will be two dog trick training contests, at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., where guests will demonstrate their pets’ abilities and win prizes.
In addition, the first 50 people to arrive at the store will receive PetSmart gift cards valued between $5 and $50. The store will have dogs and cats available for adoption, as an effort of PetSmart Charities in partnership with Animal Rescue Foundation of Rincón.
I have to check it out myself but I was told a couple of weeks ago that the half bag of cat food I bought at PetSmart for $15 or $16 had gone up to $30!!! Will be going there to check it out….
