Santander Universidades launches Becas Santander app
The app can be downloaded via Apple’s iTunes services and Google Play.
College students from more than 1,100 universities and research centers worldwide will now have free access to the new Becas Santander mobile application, launched through Banco Santander’s Santander Universidades division.
This project is part of the division;s new digital strategy to adapt its offerings and training programs to new technologies and the constant changes in the way young people access information. So far, the Becas Santander app has been widely accepted, the institution said.
“In a multi-device environment like the one we live in today, we must bring our university crowd closer to all the services and programs we have available,” said Victoria Zuasti, director of digital strategy agreements at Santander Universities, who led the project.
The app aims to bring users closer to information about thousands of Santander scholarships available anywhere in the world through an interactive map and smart searches based on user interests, available time or destination, Zuasti said.
The initiative complements the improved services and attention to young students that Santander Universidades is pursuing. The institution develops more than 4,500 college projects a year, with more than 1,100 colleges and research centers worldwide, including eight in Puerto Rico.
