This contest rewards projects that promote creativity and innovation and that stimulates the development of small businesses among college students.
Manu Prakash, born in India and professor of Bioengineering at Stanford University and with a PhD in Applied Physics from MIT, will be the keynote speaker at this conference.
The conference will convene representatives of the University of Puerto Rico’s School of Planning as well as the PRMA and other civic organizations on the island and its diaspora.
The trainings focus on emerging businesses and existing social enterprises.
More than 30 new entrepreneurs successfully completed the first phase of workshops for the creation and strengthening of self-employment in Guayama, an initiative launched by AES Puerto Rico and the The Trust for the Americas.
The alliance sets off the first phase of the program, which will allow interested people to launch their businesses “quickly and effectively,” the agencies stated.
